When you walk into your local grocery store or
convenience store and go down the healthcare isles most likely you will see the
dental hygiene section. I have noticed
that most stores have up to a hundred different kinds of toothbrushes. This seems like a crazy large number and it
begs the question. Am I missing anything
with the toothbrush I am currently using? This lead me on my path of
learning. I went on to read lots of articles
and see if there was a big difference to what I brush my teeth with.
The first path it took me down was the idea of
electric toothbrushes. I have ready many
brands claiming that it will brush your teeth this percentage better and get
this much more plaque off then another brand.
Then I will read multiple articles stating that the toothbrush rather
electrified or non does nearly the same thing.
Sometimes the extra rotations of the brush from an electrical one can be
seen as too harsh for your teeth and actually cause harm. Where most articles simply stated they were a
good idea if the individuals was not able to actually brush their teeth under
their own strength! So my conclusion on the electric toothbrush is that it is
only necessary and help really only when an individual is not able to brush
their teeth normally on their own.
The next thing I saw was a european toothbrush
that was made for the highest of high class.
It was a 5,000 dollars plus toothbrush.
The price on this brush was jaw dropping and yes pun intended. I could not believe the cost for such a
brush. It was made of titanium and was
available in several colors with lots of designs. It was noted to come with a
great warranty. Many individuals asked
rather it was actually healthier than other brushes. Their main reply was that in all honesty it
wasn’t. It was meant to work well and be
stylish.
Then I saw lots of differences of opinion on soft
and hard toothbrushes. Many people
believed that the hard brush did harm to your teeth while others thought it
removed more plaque and tartar. It was
honestly a bit of a mess to try and understand.
It seemed more to come down to the fact of rather you used that
toothbrush or not that made more of a difference in health. So no matter what
type of brush you have, just brush!
